The 62nd Annual Conference of the Society took place in Colchester between Friday 4th & Sunday 6th October 2024. The George Hotel, set in the very heart of this city, was the accommodation venue for all the delegates. While the lecture programme was held in the very impressive Victorian Town Hall. Just 100 meters away.

The lecture programme was as diverse as ever, with the presentations ranging from the history of modern-day mouth jewellery, to an 18th century family dispute over porcelain teeth.

The social side of the weekend was not forgotten; with a very tasty hot buffet on the Friday evening and a sumptuous Conference Dinner in the Old Victorian Library on the Saturday night. To walk off the excess calories, a guided tour of the City had been arranged!

In other words, a typical Lindsay Society Conference of learning and enjoyment.

At the end of the weekend, outgoing Treasurer, Noel Stamp was presented with a Life Membership of the Society along with a bottle of wine in appreciation for his work over many years on the Committee.
