I am trying to find out which courses a dentist who qualified from the University of the Punjab in the early 1940s and came to the UK in 1946 would have studied in order to qualify and work as a dentist in the UK. I know he studied at the Royal and I think he took a year before he could sit his LDS exam. I would really like to know what courses he needed to attend in that year at the Royal and if there was a minimum amount of time he had to be registered with a UK dental school.
I cannot find anything in the RDH archives but there is sometimes a mention of student admission in the RDH minutes and it seems to be the Dean who has the final decision on any students with unusual criteria. Any ideas?
